FOR PATIENTS

What to Expect

To continue our research, the Sleep and Circadian Group is looking for volunteers to participate in our studies. Specifically, we need people who may or may not be affected by a sleep-related disorder, such as insomnia, sleep apnea and restless legs syndrome.

If you would like to participate in a clinical trial, please contact our Clinical Trials Unit and ask our staff to assist you in a preliminary evaluation of your eligibility. If you are found to meet our preliminary eligibility criteria, you will be invited to come in and see one of our doctors for a screening visit.

During this screening visit, our doctors will examine a volunteer’s medical condition, medical history, current drug regime and general suitability for the study, before they are invited to participate in a trial. The screening ensures that the results of a study are uniform, and also ensures volunteer safety.
