The Sleep Medicine Clinical Trials Group operates within an environment of leading edge and world class academic medicine with access to the latest diagnostic and analytical technologies. In-house expertise in research methods, epidemiology and biostatistics is matched by extensive collaborative partnerships within the Australian and international scientific and medical community across a broad range of projects and related therapeutic areas and an efficient and professional business unit.

The Sleep Medicine Clinical Trials Group has world class facilities to conduct studies in the areas of:

• Proof of concept
• Phase I safety
• Phase II-III safety/efficacy
• Phase IV post marketing
• Pharmacotherapy
• Device testing for sleep disorders
• Computer based neuro-cognitive tests,
• Novel EEG analytical approaches (i.e. to assess drowsiness or drug effects)
• Home based sleep apnoea detection equipment.

The group has advanced technologies that can also be applied to research projects if required.
